Famous World War Two Pictures

world war II???
so i’m doing a project on famous dictators in WWII (mussolini, hitler, tojo, franco, etc.) however, i can’t find a two things on tojo. they are:
his career goal(s)
character traits
and if anyone knows any websites with good pictures of him that i could draw, that would be awesome.
by the way, his full name is hideki tojo.
thanks for answering!! :]
Good for you! You’ve done most of your homework!
Ok, Tojo’s goal for the Pacific War (what we call WWII) was to nullify America as a threat to his “Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere”. This was a very nice propaganda name for subjugating all other asians to be servants of Japan. He wanted to seize all the resources required for his hungry war industries, by crushing and expelling all other foreign power, while skipping the fact that while his armies and navies were in other countries, he was a foreign occupier, too.
His great lie to the Japanese people, tojustify the attack on Pearl Harbor, was that he wanted to lift the oil embargo placed on Japan by the U.S.,for not stopping the ongoing invasion in Indo-china (Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand). He told the people that Japan had oil reserves for only 18 months, and that he had to act, to secure oil supplies in the future. !8 months of oil, at wartime levels, is an awful lot of oil, and the U.S. now has generally only about 6 to 12 months of oil reserves. He was looking to build an invincible Asian Empire.
The wkipedia site does have a good picture of him. Click on it, and try also to get more information on this war criminal.
By the way, I live in Japan, and his grand-daughter, Yuko Tojo, occasionally makes noise here to make him not a war criminal, claiming the age-old lie of “victor’s Justice” being the real reason for his execution. The facts obviously say different, but she does have some crazy old people supporting her.
Good luck on your report!
