War of Independence of Greece was the first time that the Ottoman Empire lost ground occupied by the active contribution of the three great powers of the time (England, France, Russia). This process ended with the end of World War I Ottoman Empire Dissolution of the creation of new states in the Middle East (Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, etc) and the Balkans (Yugoslavia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania) and the name PROMISS of the great powers for the creation of new states (Pontus, Armenia, Cyprus, Kurdistan, Israel). The results of this process that began in 1827 (Battle Navarino Naval) are obvious so far: the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Cyprus and the Greek-Turkish, Armenian-Turkish Kurdish conflict, Turkey, the Arab-Israeli the fragmentation of Yugoslavia (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, FYROM, Kosovo) are problems that began when the great powers put their feet on the Balkans and Middle East (1827). Course the big powers are not interested in the Eastern Mediterranean issues only because of his initial desire for a country muppet commercial and reasons of power in the eastern Mediterranean (Greece), but have found that with time in the Middle East, there are a lot of oil (= Money). http:// http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Navarino en.wikipedia.org / wiki / Greek_War_of_Independence # European_intervention

“”The Greek War of Independence is a masterful work–the first comprehensive study in thirty years–of one of the most heroic and bloody struggles for independence any people has every waged. The Greek struggle for independence from the Ottoman Empire was the revolution of the Romantic Age, inspiring painters, poets, and patriots the world over, fired as much by Lord Byron’s ringing words and Delacroix’s brilliant paintings as by Greece’s seemingly hopeless plight. David Brewer has captured it brilliantly, from the ground up–the heroes and villains, the victories, and tragic defeats.”
